Through this initiative, the Alliance educates residents on the unintended and unforeseen consequences of policies such as those that increase youth access, decrease perception of risk, and set a bad precedent of approving medicine through political means, rather than through the scientific process.
Through a campaign titled the Marijuana Prevention Initiative, the Alliance is working to educate Massachusetts citizens on the unintended and unforeseen consequences of proposed legislation to legalize marijuana, including marijuana that is purported to be medicinal. The Alliance opposes marijuana policy that increases youth access, decreases perception of risk, and sets a dangerous precedent of approving medicine through political means, rather than through the regulated, safe and scientifically-based FDA process.
